DOT partners with TikTok for More Fun In The Philippines




The Department of Tourism (DOT)  has partnered with TikTok to showcase the beauty of the country to its audience further. DOT has named TikTok to be its co-branding partner for its signature campaign: “It’s More Fun In The Philippines.”

Donny Eryastha, TikTok Head of Public Policy for the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia, and Howard Lance Uyking, DOT Assistant Secretary for Branding and Marketing Communications, signed the partnership at the Manila Hotel on December 12, 2019.

The partnership is part of TikTok’s #TikTokTravel global campaign across 90 counties for users to share their favorite videos of their travel. With presence in over 154 countries, TikTok aims to share sights, experiences, and various travel moments with social media fans worldwide.

DOT will launch its official account and hashtag challenge early next year. TikTok will boost the official video challenge, and popular content creators will be endorsing the campaign as well. The creators that attended the launch were: Mikoy Uy, Sai Datinguinoo, Jiro Morato, Lennie Enverga, Chierald Tan, Simon Javier, Cassie Barrameda, Alyssa Profeta, Shane Buhat, and Yanyan de Jesus.
