TikTok has pledged USD 1 Million to the Philippine General Hospital Medical Foundation Inc. PGHMFI greatly appreciates the enormous support from TikTok, which will help us secure PPEs and essential supplies to the front line health care professionals of PGH. This is truly a big help as the PGH continues to fulfill its role as a government-designated COVID-19 hospital. TikTok's donation is part of its worldwide effort in combating the COVID-19. The Philippine TikTok community has shown its support for local doctors as well, through the #salamatfrontliners campaign. Helena Lersch, TikTok Global Public Policy Director, also applauded TikTok's Filipino audience, stating "TikTok could attest to the Filipino resilience. We are grateful that TikTok has been part of Filipinos' everyday lives. TikTok is rallying behind the health care professionals battling the COVID-19 pandemic and is donating $10 million to the cause.
