Toyota has just unveiled the all-new Avanza in Indonesia. The seats feature what Toyota calls the “long sofa” mode, where the rear seats can combine with the front to create a long row of seating. The Toyota Avanza comes with MacPherson struts in the front and torsion beam in the rear. Powering the MPV is a 1.3-liter in-line four-cylinder engine with 97 horsepower and 122Nm of torque paired to a 5 speed manual on the E-variant. The Toyota Avanza comes in at IDR 206,200,000 for the E variant and IDR 228,500,000 for the G variant. As part of Toyota Motor Corp's recall of 6.39 million vehicles worldwide, Toyota Motor Philippines is recalling Innova, Fortuner, and Hilux units sold in the country from November 2004 to June 2010. There are, however, no incidents reported related to this condition." To address the problem, Toyota Motor Philippines launched its "Special Service Campaign" to have the faulty parts replaced free of charge. "In line with Toyota’s firm commitment on product safety and quality, Toyota Motor Philippines will issue a Special Service Campaign (SSC) on the affected models.
