Twitter is now requiring users to either log in to their account or sign up for those who don't have a Twitter account yet in order to simply view tweets. Previously, anyone could view a Tweet without the need for an account or without the need to log in. It is unclear whether or not it was intentional nor if this will be the norm moving forward as Elon Musk had Tweeted in a reply that it is currently a "Temporary emergency measure" as Twitter was getting "data pillaged so much". If you have a Twitter account and you're on Globe, this might get your interest. Globe Telecom has a new SMS service called UPD8 for Twitter. What it does is basically allow you to send SMS updates to your Twitter account and receive personal alerts via SMS as well. To register your phone number to your Twitter account, type "TWITREG " and send it to 2370. However, if you're doing multiple successive Tweets, I think it would be cheaper to access Twitter Mobile via 3G and pay Php5 per 15 minutes.
