Twitter rolled out its Tips feature in September last year, enabling users to send and receive tips using Bitcoin. According to Twitter, through the Tips feature, you'll also be able to copy someone's Bitcoin or Ethereum address and paste their address into whatever wallet you use, using the Twitter mobile app. "We're continuing to expand ways to get paid on Twitter which includes more choices for creators and fans who want to use crypto," Johnny Winston, lead product manager of creator monetization at Twitter, told CoinDesk in a statement. Twitter has announced that its tipping feature, now called Tips, is rolling out to everyone with more payment options to choose from, including crypto. Tips is a feature that lets users add links to select third-party payment services to their Twitter profiles. In addition, the platform will enable users to send and receive tips using Bitcoin as part of its push to help users make money from the service. Moreover, this tipping feature allows users to send tips to their favorite account, support an emerging creator for their tweets, help a small business owner, and the like. - Users will know that their account has turned on Tips if they see the tipping icon (money icon) next to the Follow button on the profile page.
