Twitter just introduced a neat option to "Unmention" yourself on tweets, threads, and conversations that you wish to be excluded from. Twitter is reportedly testing out a way for users to untag themselves in conversations or threads they don't want to be a part of. Additionally, once you leave the thread, the Twitter handle will remain as plain text rather than linking it to your account.
