Uber has launched a new product called Uber Movement which provides anonymized traffic data to city officials, planners, policymakers, as well as general public to help them make informed decisions when it comes to city planning and development. Uber Movement does this by leveraging on anonymous GPS information from hundreds of thousands of online Uber vehicles and then provides an insight on how traffic is moving around the city. Great news Uber riders! You'll now get to enjoy the perks of UberPool's fixed fares to your destination on UberX. Starting October 12, all Uber riders who'll opt for UberX will have fixed fares or Upfront Fares as the company calls it. Like your usual UberX ride, Uber will automatically calculate the expected time and distance plus the traffic situation and driver availability when you're booking. It even includes toll fees, as per FAQs on Uber's website.
