Valve's Steam Link app for 2016 and 2017 Samsung Smart TVs is now out of beta and you can now try it if you have the hardware. The Steam Link app allows you to stream games from your PC directly to a 2016 or 2017 Samsung Smart TV over your wired or wireless network, without using Valve's proprietary Steam Link hardware. Valve has confirmed its next wave of gaming hardware, announcing a new Steam Machine, a new Steam Controller, and a new virtual reality headset called Steam Frame. The next-gen Steam Machine brings back Valve’s small gaming PC, which was first released 10 years ago. Valve says this controller is designed to work smoothly with the updated Steam Machine and with PC setups. The last major reveal is Steam Frame, Valve’s new VR headset. Unlike the Valve Index, Steam Frame does not need a PC connection to work. Valve also clarified that a Steam Deck 2 is not coming yet, saying the timing is not right for a new handheld.
