We went to the booth of Synaptics at CES this week to check out the In-Display Fingerprint Technology that VIVO is going to use on its upcoming smartphones. In the video below, Synaptics demoed how the fingerprint sensor looks like (the module itself) and how it works. https://youtu.be/GLQ8g0qgQic So far, it seems the fingerprint sensor works really well, fast and accurate although the noticeable delay happens between waking up the phone and the scanning of the fingerprint. Synaptics has said they're already in mass production and these modules will be used by Vivo for the X20 Plus. While I’m waiting for my laptop to be repaired, ASUS PH has been kind enough to lend me this VivoBook S400C to use temporarily. Display and Audio The VivoBook S400C is one of the first few batches of mid-ranged notebooks to come preinstalled with Windows 8. The last time we checked, the ASUS VivoBook S400C, with the configuration stated above, will set you back Php35,995.
