Demo: Vivo’s In-Display Fingerprint Technology by Synaptics

We went to the booth of Synaptics at CES this week to check out the In-Display Fingerprint Technology that VIVO is going to use on its upcoming smartphones.

In the video below, Synaptics demoed how the fingerprint sensor looks like (the module itself) and how it works.

So far, it seems the fingerprint sensor works really well, fast and accurate although the noticeable delay happens between waking up the phone and the scanning of the fingerprint.

Synaptics has said they’re already in mass production and these modules will be used by Vivo for the X20 Plus.
