vivo has announced plans to unveil a mixed reality (MR) headset next year, aiming to challenge Apple’s Vision Pro. The prototype will debut around September or October, expecting features that claim to surpass Apple’s offering. sources say vivo has assembled a 500-member team dedicated to this project. While Apple’s Vision Pro has faced underwhelming sales, vivo is banking on delivering a competitive experience at a more accessible price. The headset is set for "high-fidelity prototype experiences" across multiple cities in China by late 2025. However, its commercial release will depend on the development of supporting content ecosystems, according to a vivo executive.
