Very light memory footprint -- Windows 95 can run on 4MB of RAM. Although you can buy more memory and get an extra 2MB, 4MB is all you need to run Windows. Be prepared to clean up your hard drive as you will need all 50MB of space to install Windows 95. I remember creating batch (.bat) files to run a an anti-virus, disk partition and create disk RAM before loading Windows 95. Windows 95 introduced everyone to the gooey or graphical user interface. I remember using the internet before Windows 95 and all we had was Pine to access our email and and Lynx to browse the web (Lynx is a text-based browser).
