Microsoft has recently announced that it will no longer support its 11-year-old operating system, Windows XP, starting April of next year. Starting April 8, 2014, Windows XP will no longer receive security updates, non-security hotfixes, free or paid assisted support options, or online technical content updates from Microsoft. To keep those legacy machines safe from potential threats, the tech giant introduced the Windows 10 Extended Security Updates (ESU) program last year, allowing personal account users to opt into continued patch coverage. Since Windows 10 was supposed to be retired at the end of 2025, the 1-year extension program was originally scheduled to reach its absolute end on October 12, 2026. And contrary to what other have reported, too me somewhere around 1.5 to 2.5 hours to completely install Windows 7 which is dependent on the rig I'm running it on. Microsoft has announced that the support for Windows 7 will come to an end on January 14, 2020, after its first release in 2009.
