#X content moderation

X is developing an automatic filter for NSFW content, providing admins in Communities with setting to toggle ‘Adult content’ as a feature in the platform. Most social media platforms are known to be strict against NSFW content. It’s a thin line between prohibition and tolerance, as platforms try their best to balance how content creators express themselves. Users of a certain age however, will be able to set their preferences to be able to view adult content. Ever since Elon Musk’s acquisition of the platform, X’s policies with content have been very loose. But nonetheless, the upcoming feature is surely an improvement from X’s current policies on content. The lax moderation of the platform is highly noticeable when compared to other social media platforms. We’ve yet to see if this will be an effective method of moderation in X to filter for NSFW content.
