X, formerly Twitter, has launched its new standalone XChat app on iOS. The XChat app introduces end-to-end encrypted messaging. XChat is now available on iOS with an Android release expected soon. Apple today officially announced the next version of their popular mobile operating system, the iOS 5 which will be available to you iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch this July. iOS5 also introduced iMessage, Newstand, Reminders, multi-tasking gestures and Airplay mirroring (for iPad2).
