Last year, the Xiaomi 17 Series gets released in China with three new models including the base Xiaomi, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max. And if you’re wondering what happened to the Xiaomi 16 Series? It wasn't entirely clear what was the reason behind the jump, but most of us think it was just about Xiaomi keeping up with Apple's iPhone 17 Series. Setting that thought aside, the more important question is how does the Xiaomi 17 keep up with our daily use? Design and Construction The very first thing I noticed is how compact the Xiaomi 17 is. Checking out the cameras at the rear, each lens is now protruding housed in a square-ish module, whereas its predecessor, the Xiaomi 15, accentuates a flushed camera island. [gallery size="full" link="none" ids="419393,419394,419395"] Display, Multimedia, and Biometrics Up front, the Xiaomi 17 comes with a 6.3-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display running at 120Hz refresh rate. While Xiaomi didn't mention its typical brightness, when I'm using the phone outdoors, the screen still remains visible even under direct sunlight.
