Sony-Ericsson Philippines today launched the Xperia X8 -- its most affordable Android handset in the Xperia line by far with a suggested retail price of Php11,600. The Xperia X8 looks like the smaller sibling of the flagship Xperia X10 of Sony-Ericsson. Like the other handsets in the Xperia line, the display used is just regular TFT LCD which isn't the most impressive of the lot. So we already seen the Xperia X10 and the Xperia X10 Mini but the Sony-Ericsson Xperia X8 that's just been announced seems like it's positioned somewhere in between the two. 3.0" display @ 320x480 pixels 128 MB internal memory up to 16GB via microSD (2GB included) 3G/HSDPA WiFi 802.11 b/g Bluetooth 2.1 3.15MP camera Stereo FM radio with RDS GPS w/ A-GPS support Li-Po 1200 mAh Comes pre-installed with Android 1.6 but like the other Android Xperia, it should be ready for v2.1 by 3rd quarter as well. In an email by Sony Ericsson today, the new Sony Ericsson XPeria X1 phone will be coming out to the public tomorrow in stores but people who made early reservations are supposed to get their own units today.
