Although premium and with a great camera and water resistance, the Xperia XZs uses an old Snapdragon 820 chip which is a downer considering its Php39,990 asking price. Unlike the Xperia XZs, the XZ Premium packs internals worthy of the name like the 5.5-inch 4K display, Snapdragon 835 chipset, and 19MP Exmor RS Motion Eye camera. In an email by Sony Ericsson today, the new Sony Ericsson XPeria X1 phone will be coming out to the public tomorrow in stores but people who made early reservations are supposed to get their own units today. I looked into the prototyped of the XPeria X1 given to me last week to find out if it lives up to the hype. In contrast, the XPeria is 1mm thinner than the Nokia N96, N81 and N82. Playback is smooth but I noticed a lag of about 2 to 3 seconds when loading up the videos.  The XPeria comes with a stylus (and an extra one) tucked in at the top left on the back side for use to navigate the screen menu.
