Samsung unveils Flex Hybrid OLED Fold-and-Slide Display

Continuing to lead the way in foldable display technology, Samsung has just unveiled its all-new Samsung Flex Hybrid OLED Fold-and-Slide Display at CES 2023.

The Flex Hybrid combines two foldable technologies in one: having a foldable screen on the left and a slidable display on the right, all in one device.

The Hybrid will have a 17-inch large-screen slideable display, which allows users to enjoy videos and other media on a 10.5-inch display at a 4:3 aspect ratio or a 12.4-inch larger screen with a 16:10 screen ratio through this “hybrid” setup.

Currently, the Flex Hybrid has two concepts: the Flex Slidable Solo and the Flex Slidable Duet. The Solo features a screen that expands in one direction. Meanwhile, the Duet has a display that extends and expands in both directions.

The Flex Hybrid concept is part of Samsung’s prototype for their future laptop designs.
