As the old saying goes — if it’s too good to be true, then probably it isn’t. What truer way to get this across is to witness the rise and fall of Agloco.
According to John Chow, the AGLOCO network is going to the deadpool. He got an email from their development team saying revenues aren’t enough:
We would like to update you on the status of AGLOCO’s operations. We continue to believe in the AGLOCO concept, but our revenue is currently not sufficient to give Members a meaningful distribution. And though there are increases in membership, the resulting revenue is not enough to support operating costs. As a development team we are unable to continue to use our savings to fund the operations. If any Member would like to pursue continuing the operations of AGLOCO, you may contact us at [email protected].
We would like to thank every Member for supporting our effort to bring a piece of the Internet directly to the user. We hope that we can find a way to keep the operations going.

Their company blog hasn’t been updated as well, with the last post dating back to October 12.
There should be some hard lessons to be learned here. Before this, there was Studio Traffic. That one didn’t last but people got some money. With Agloco, it actually folded before formally going out and pay members.
YugaTech.com is the largest and longest-running technology site in the Philippines. Originally established in October 2002, the site was transformed into a full-fledged technology platform in 2005.

i think the idea is good but installing a adbar and use it for search is such a hassle. considering most current web browsers are already equipped with built-in search box.

It’s unbelievable how bad Vista is. Thank goodness I switched. I’m a MacBook complainer but at least it isn’t Vista.

From the start, I really doubt this program can make it to the highroads. That’s why until now, I never made a single promotion of my referral link with them.

Sad to see such a team of people scamming so many again and again … many of the organizers of AGLOCO had less than stalwart past histories … but that’s the way of the ‘Net it seems … promise people an impossible dream (own a share of the Internet) and those who haven’t yet developed their critical thinking skills will just leap in without a thought to the time they are wasting. But I am sure AGLOCO served the real purpose of the organizers … building a truly massive opt-in email list 10 levels deep.
As I mentioned to many in the past … there’s a reason they incorporated in China, outside the control of the consumer protection laws of must developed countries … to those who leaped without looking … don’t feel bad, you had al esson that didn’t cost much, you’ll think a little more clearly next time someone offers something for nothing, won’t you?

Same. After trying them out for a few weeks, I saw that it will not fly. That installation and the need to use that installed software is the problem.
Then I uninstalled it. It simply won’t work, something is missing, something is not right.
And so, here we are… just as many had predicted.
