Nothing has released four smartphone iterations so far: the original Phone (1), the Phone (2), the more affordable Phone (2a), and most recently, the Phone (2a) Plus.

What all of them had in common is that they stand in the premium mid-range segment rocking mid-range chipsets. Now, a new report claims that the company’s main smartphone line will finally transition to a proper flagship this year with the upcoming Nothing Phone (3).

The news came from tipster @evleaks who shared a screenshot of a purported email from the Nothing CEO Carl Pei himself.

“This year will mark the launch of our flagship Nothing Phone (3),” the email read. “It will introduce breakthrough innovations in user interface, taking our first step toward our Al-powered platform.”

Pei also highlighted that Nothing’s camera and software teams have expanded by almost 50%, “…setting the stage for even better products and greater innovation.”

The founder did not mention any specific release window for the Phone (3). But he did say that they have a ‘landmark smartphone launch’ coming up this first quarter of 2025.

Furthermore, recent leaks suggest that three phones will launch under the Nothing brand in 2025. Aside from the flagship Phone (3), a more affordable Phone (3a) with Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 is also reportedly in the works along with its Plus variant.
