Anker has launched the Eufy Genie, which is an audio smart device powered by Amazon’s Alexa voice-control system.
The Eufy Genie can be considered as a more affordable alternative to Amazon’s own Echo Dot. It can tell you the news, weather, sports scores, and can provide assistance for other services like food delivery, smart-home control, and much more. Audio-wise, Anker says also says it has a stronger bass and 200% more volume than the Amazon’s Echo Dot.
Other features include far-field voice recognition with its AudioSmart far-field voice processor, allowing it to detect sound in 360-degrees, as well as isolate and remove noise. It can also utilize echo cancellation to detect a user’s voice even during loud music playback or voice prompts.
The Eufy Genie is compatible with a smartphone or tablet running iOS 8.0 (or above) or Android 4.3 (or above). The device can also command other products such as the RoboVac 11c and other smart-home devices.
The device will cost around USD 35 (~Php1,800) and will be available on Amazon starting tomorrow.
