Yugatech 728x90 Reno7 Series
JBL Charge 3

Let’s begin with some good-sounding audio products — we’re going for Bose and JBL for these. First off we have the JBL Charge 3, a portable Bluetooth speaker that’s waterproofed and can charge other portable devices thanks to its Power Bank feature. We were able to play with its predecessor, the Charge 2+, a year ago and the new version has a more distinct design. This one is priced at Php8,099 and it comes with a free AKG Y30 Headphone on Lazada. (See listing here)

Bose SoundTrue Over-the-Ear Headphones II

From loudspeakers, let’s go to headphones. The Bose SoundTrue Over-the-Ear Headphones II is a great choice if you want a balance of quality and portability. During our test, (see review here) it proved itself to be an all-around performer and a comfortable headphone to wear. It’s priced at Php8,900  on Lazada here.

Sony HT-CT80 Bluetooth Sound Bar with Subwoofer

How about a soundbar for your home TV to elevate your viewing experience because we know that the speakers of basic LED TVs are not exactly of high quality. We stumbled upon this Sony HT-CT80 Bluetooth Sound Bar with Subwoofer which is priced at just Php6,999 (see listing here). It’s a good buy for those looking for an affordable soundbar that you can trust. It’s got Bluetooth and NFC for easy pairing with your other music devices like your smartphone or through the full-size USB port for quick playback.

Ace 32″ LED TV Black LED-808 DN4

Speaking of TV, if you’re in the mood for getting a cheap TV, there’s this affordable LED TV that’s getting a lot of praise online. The Ace 32″ LED TV Black LED-808 DN4 is a certified best-seller on Lazada for just Php6,499 (see listing here). According to the reviews available, it’s got an average customer rating of 4.5 out of 5. It’s a cheap TV but you’re getting a good one without a hefty price tag.

AspectSolar DUO-Flex 2

Remember the solar charger we reviewed during the summer? The AspectSolar DUO-Flex 2 is idle for those who are into mountain climbing or trekking. It harnesses the power of the sun with its 13W panels to charge your mobile device at 5V 2.0A through the built-in micro-USB cable. It’s also water-resistant and comes in a sporty neoprene case. You can get one for Php5,499 (see listing here).

Seagate 4TB Back-up Plus Portable

Since we’re already talking about portability, you might want to consider a 4TB portable external hard drive from Seagate. Yup! That’s 4 terabytes of data for a number of 4K videos, high-resolution images, and large applications. It’s a bit thicker than most portable HDDs but with its large capacity, there’s nothing to complain about that. It also comes with 200GB of free cloud storage and NTFS driver to make it cross compatible with a Mac. The Seagate 4TB Back-up Plus Portable is priced at Php8,000 on PCExpress here. But if you prefer a more compact and faster portable drive, the Sandisk SDSSDEXT 240GB Extreme Pro SSD Portable is listed for Php5,499 here.

If you’re still using an old router or the free router that comes with your high-speed broadband plan, you should consider getting a better one. The old routers are from the age of single-band 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and if you have a lot of devices connected at once plus more family or friends connected to the same router, there’s a possibility of network congestion. That’s where dual-band routers come in like the ASUS RT-AC1200G+ Dual-band Wireless-AC120. It’s got wide coverage thanks to its four 5dBi antennas and it also has a USB port to make it a media center. This router costs for Php8,340 through Villman here.

The GoPro Hero5 is an amazing product but it’s above Php20k. Good thing there are alternatives to it. The most recent we reviewed is the SJCAM M20. It’s a lightweight and portable camera that could be used for sports, in a car, or attached to a drone. Although its captured details left us to desiring for more, it’ll be good enough for the most casual user. It can even do true 2K video or go 4K but interpolated. This one goes for Php5,288 as of writing (see listing here).

With all the gadgets you have to bring with you, a nifty good-looking bag should be strapped on your shoulders. The bag retails online (see listing here) for Php5,299. You may also check out our list of gaming laptop bags you can buy in PH here for more options.
