Since the first time I discovered these Energizer portable battery chargers, been using them always for most of my mobile devices. This latest one, while it doesn’t not pack as much juice as the previous one’s I’ve tested, is more of a complementary set.
So, what’s inside the carrying case?
– an Energizer Xpal XP1000 (1,000mAh)
– a USB car charger
– a USB wall charger
– four (4) charging tips
– charging cable
The portable battery is only rated at 1000mAh so it doesn’t have enough power to fully recharge most of the high-end smartphones today (which are rated at around 1500mAh). It’s very slim and very light though that you would not notice it if you put it inside your breast pocket.
I have the XP2000 which is rated at 2000mAh and have also tested that humongous XP18000 that can even extend your laptop’s battery life up to 24 hours.
This Power Kit is more like a traveler’s pack where you have multiple options of recharging your phone (via the wall, the car or the portable battery).
Used the portable battery this afternoon and it was able to recharge my HTC HD7 to around two-thirds full.
The battery alone (an XPal XP1000) retails for about Php950USD 16INR 1,372EUR 15CNY 118 so I’m guessing the entire Power Pack would go for around Php1,500USD 26INR 2,167EUR 24CNY 186 when it hits the stores. Update: Suggested retail price is Php2,195USD 37INR 3,171EUR 36CNY 272.
