So this in-ear earphones by Jays is pretty intriguing and comes in the most complete set of accessories out of the box. Been using it for weeks and during my travels and I must admit it’s an impressive pair of earphones.
Right out from the box, Jays earphones are given great effort. The set that we were lent came with the widest range of accessories and add-ons.
Here’s what’s included the box:
q-Jays earphones
Sliding ring
Y-connection
3.5mm stereo mini-plug
70cm extension cable
Silicone rubber sleeves (7 pairs)
Protective filters
Comply Foam Tips
Stereo splitter
Airplane adapter
Leather bag
I found the inclusion of the airplane adapter very useful since I’ve been traveling often lately (and I don’t like those headsets they provide in the cabin).
The earphones themselves are quite small — the smallest I have seen or tried ever. The silicone rubber sleeve is key to getting the best comfort on the ears once you find your size.
When I tried them on for the first time, I thought they were a little low on volume and the audio seemed a bit tinny. You really need to fit it correctly to get the right audio output. Once you figure that out, you’d be surprised at the power and sound quality of the earphones.
Sensitivity: 95dB SPL @ 1KHz
Impedance: 39 Ohm @ 1KHz
Frequency Response: 20Hz – 20kHz
Weight: 8 grams
Plug: Gold-plated 3.5mm stereo plug
Cord Length: 60cm
It’s got some pretty clear audio quality although most of the time, it’s the source that reveals a lot of shortcomings of the sound rather than the performance of the earphones. For the most part, the earphones are very consistent in range and volume. The earphones blocks ambient noise but that’s practically true with any set at high volume. The difference is that even at low volumes, you don’t hear ambient noise as well.
The tip of the bud inside the earphones are covered by a protective filter, like a small mesh of felt paper. The opening could be blocked by small particles or dust and may be replaced with a new set anytime.
I’ve had quite a number of regular earphones and in-ear ones as well. For the most part, I’m not very comfortable using them for prolonged periods of time. The ones on the q-Jays are surprisingly comfy I’d sometimes forget I have them on.
Their attention to detail and additional options for unique case uses (like for the airplane’s audio jack) is commendable. The q-Jays is obviously for serious audiophiles and those who look for more than just a pair of earphones. With a suggested retail price of Php12,499, they better be worth all the bells and whistles. That and the great build quality and performance.
Remarkable! Its in fact amazing post, I have got much clear idea about from this paragraph.
I’ve been browsing on-line more than 3 hours as of late, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is beautiful worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all webmasters and bloggers made just right content as you probably did, the web will probably be much more helpful than ever before.
Hi, I do think this is a great website. I

may you be rich and continue to help others.
I have these earphones and they sound really really good though lacking in bass… Bought a Fiio E5 with bass boost to supplement and now I feel in heaven :) The thing I hate with this earphone is the cable is non-replaceable! I hope they make one like the UE TF10s :)
Hi all. I just couldn’t stop myself from commenting for this blog. The article is really impressive. I personally like the writer’s opinion. I found the information complete and convincing. Keep up the spirits.
He did the article nicely that I am already thinking of buying one, but when I came to its latter part and see for my eyes how much it costs, I immediately thought about turning back to my good-old earphones. lol Anyways, thanks for sharing!

the issue with phillips is the cord, ive had lots of philips and and its the first thing that breaks (based on my experience)
At Php12,499, bibili na lang ako ng 1 Sennheiser MX800 plus Washing Machine na fully automatic!
After canvassing for a good, budget earphones, I came across Philips’ SHE9700.
Based on the specs, it’s relatively better.
Frequency range: 6-23 500Hz (like a sub-woofer + tweeter)
Sensitivity: 103dB
Impedance: 16 Ohm
Max power input: 50 mW
The q-Jay’s Frequency range is just the normal range, like most of the earphones out there. When I used my Philips earphones, the audio sounded like it came from a big, loud speaker. Of course this is due to it’s wide frequency range, so you can hear the subwoofer and the tweeter.
And best comparison of all, its only 1,760k.
