0:00Vivo is dropping a new model from its
0:02camera ccentric series, the Vivo V70.
0:04Notably, the Zeiss collaboration remains
0:06the main highlight here, boasting new
0:08camera features to explore with. So,
0:10today we’re taking a quick rundown of
0:12the things we like about this phone so
0:13far. I’m your host, Earl, and let’s get
0:15right into the video.
0:18Right off the bat, the VO V70 is clearly
0:21designed for users who take lots of
0:23pictures and videos. Be it portraits,
0:25random snaps, selfies, and even high
0:28quality vlogs. We can expect the Zeiss
0:30camera system can handle all that with
0:31no fuss. The Vivo V70 packs a quad
0:34camera setup led by a 50 megapixel Zeiss
0:36main camera with OIS, a 50 megapixel Z
0:39super telephoto, also with OIS, and an 8
0:41MP Z ultra wide lens. Up front, there’s
0:44yet another 50 megap group selfie
0:46camera. Perhaps one of the best things
0:48about the Vivo V70 so far is its
0:50telephoto capabilities. It can shoot up
0:52to 100 times digital zoom, three times
0:55optical zoom, and even 10 times for zoom
0:57in portraits. Trying these out
0:59ourselves, the image remains sharp and
1:01nicely processed even at longer zoom
1:02ranges at up to 10 time zoom. There’s
1:05also this upgraded AI stage mode with an
1:07extended zoom level at up to 20 time
1:09zoom. Thanks to a large one over 1.95 in
1:12sensor alongside AI image enhancement,
1:15photo shots at 20 time zoom preserve
1:17much needed details for better clarity.
1:19This means that the shot will still look
1:21decently nice, providing clearer faces,
1:23which I think is going to be useful for
1:25concert goers out there. And for those
1:26who love spending time outdoors, we
1:28think you’ll appreciate the new AI
1:30visual features like the AI magic
1:32weather and AI magic landscape. These
1:34new additions let you change the overall
1:35look and feel of your image to something
1:37like cherry blossoms, the golden hour,
1:40or even one of the four seasons. For the
1:42first time in the V series, the Vivo V70
1:44finally 4K video at 60 frames per
1:47second. This is great for shooting
1:48fastmoving subjects, providing fluid
1:50motion and sharper frames. With that, if
1:53you’re familiar with video editing,
1:55you’ll actually get the flexibility to
1:56slow your footage down to add a more
1:58cinematic feel to your vlogs or similar
2:00content. Aside from hardware upgrades,
2:02its software gets some love, too. Out of
2:04the box, the Vivo V70 now ships with
2:06Origin OS 6 based on Android 16, and the
2:09improvements here are quite nice as
2:11compared to before with Funouch OS.
2:13Everything feels a lot smoother and we
2:14get tons of new features and
2:16customization option. There’s the
2:18refresh look that’s evident from the
2:19lock and home screens. Even the
2:21notification panel icons get that
2:23frosted glass effect. And speaking of
2:24notification, it’s much more interactive
2:27now with live activity showing up on
2:28what Vivo calls origin island. Say I’m
2:31listening to music, I can just easily
2:33tap the original island and control the
2:34playback right there. Vivo’s update
2:36policy is commendable as well, promising
2:38up to four major OS upgrades and six
2:40years of security patches. Now, despite
2:42the slim profile having only a 7.59 mm
2:45frame, the Vivo V70 packs a large 6,500
2:49mAh BlueVolt battery. Equipped with a
2:51Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, it provides
2:53efficient performance leading to overall
2:55solid battery life. On a single charge,
2:56the phone can do up to 40 hours of video
2:59playback and up to 11 hours of gameplay
3:01of PUBG Mobile. If ever the phone runs
3:03low on battery, the 90 W flash charge
3:05gets it back up to 100% in just about an
3:08hour. Another neat thing about this is
3:10that the technology behind the Vivo
3:11V70’s battery provides protection
3:13against extreme temperatures. It can
3:15withstand as low as -20° C or as high as
3:1840°C, meaning it should remain reliable
3:21in the long run. Talking about
3:22protection, the V70 is IP68 and 69
3:26rated, offering the highest level of
3:28dust and water resistance, similar to
3:29flagship devices. So, if you ever dip
3:31the phone in the pool by accident, you
3:33can trust that it will still work. Just
3:35make sure that it’s completely dry
3:36before plugging it to charge. Of course,
3:38we can’t ignore that sleek design in a
3:40premium build. Our unit is in the golden
3:43color way and as the name suggests, it
3:45shows this subtle sunset like cloud
3:47pattern at the back. The color scheme
3:49here makes the metallic camera island
3:51stands out and the flat edge design
3:52along with aluminium alloy frame add
3:54that level of elegance in hand. Not to
3:56mention, the device is smaller in size
3:58sporting a 6.59 in 1.5K OLED display, so
4:02it provides a bit more comfortable grip.
4:04So, those are just some of the features
4:06that we have been liking so far. With
4:08just its Z camera system alone, the Vivo
4:10V70 remains a good daily driver for
4:13shutter bugs like me. It keeps all the
4:14solid features from previous iterations
4:16and polish everything they could both in
4:18hardware and software. For those
4:20interested in getting the new Vivo V70,
4:22it starts at 31,999
4:24pesos for the base model with 8 gig plus
4:27256 gig configuration, while the 12 gig
4:29model is priced at 35,999
4:32pesos. If you want a max out storage,
4:34there’s the 12 gig plus 512 gig variant
4:36priced at 39,899
4:38pesos. The Vivo V70 is now available for
4:41pre-order in Vivo stores nationwide
4:43until March 13, 2026. Enjoy up to 2,000
4:46off as well as a free Vivo VIP card and
4:49Vivo Buds Air Tree. That’s it for this
4:52video. What do you think of the new Vivo
4:54V70? Will you get this anytime soon?
