Apple has launched the public beta of Apple Maps on the web 73. This beta release allows users to access driving and walking directions, discover popular spots with detailed photos, hours, ratings, and reviews, and even order food directly from the place card.
Additionally, curated Guides help users find the best places to eat, shop, and explore in cities around the globe. Features like Look Around are expected to be added in the coming months.
For developers, Apple Maps on the web integrates seamlessly with MapKit JS, enabling them to provide users with precise driving directions and comprehensive place information.
Currently, this web-based service supports English and is compatible with Safari and Chrome on Mac and iPad, as well as Chrome and Edge on Windows PCs. Apple has announced plans to expand support to additional languages, browsers, and platforms over time, promising a broader reach in the future.
