电影和电视审查分级委员会（MTRCB）新任负责人Rachel Arenas正计划对尚未在电影院上映但可在互联网上观看的电影进行监管。
在一篇由PhilStar发布的报告中，Arenas 表示大多数菲律宾人不再去电影院观看电影，而是选择在家中舒适的环境里，通过电视、电脑甚至手机观看。她说有一个互联网应用程序可以让任何人观看电影，MTRCB 正在研究如何对其进行监管。
虽然没有提及该应用的名称，但她表示这些电影虽然尚未在电影院上映，却可以轻松在Netflix或Facebook上观看。
“虽然有机构处理盗版，MTRCB 希望鼓励人们去电影院。”Arenas 说。

After Mochantot Uson, there’s another ignorant woman in MTRCB. If she is subscribed to any of these streaming services then she would be aware that the movies available for streaming have already been shown in cinemas or not made to be released in cinemas. Ugh.
Yung mga variety shows nga hindi nila ma-monitor ng maayos eh. Mga nagpapasexy na bata sa You’re Face Sounds Familiar, mga innuendo at harap-harapang kalaswaan nina Joey at Senator Sotto sa Eat Bulaga at kung ano pa, hindi nila napapatawan ng tamang aksyon, internet piracy pa kaya?

LOL. why would i buy a cinema ticket only to sit beside noisy people?
if i can afford (not that i can, not that i have the data bandwidth to deal with it) a legal on-demand movie, then i’ll stay at home enjoying the comfort.

Magastos at matraffic pumunta sa mga mall. Ms. Arenas accept technology as it is. Mga mall ang dapat mag-adapt sa tao hindi kami. Basta may pulitika sa isang bansa paurong ang technology at development.

Good luck with regulating streaming video services that are all overseas based/hosted and therefore outside of the MTRCB’s jurisdiction to begin with.
This will be really hard as anything can exist on the internet. Best course is to leave the internet alone!
