Xiaomi CW500, C500 security cameras priced in the Philippines

Listen to article

Xiaomi has introduced two new smart home security cameras in the Philippines: the Xiaomi CW500 and Xiaomi C500. Both features dual-lens setups and AI-powered tools for home or small business use.

The Xiaomi CW500 is for outdoors, equipped with two cameras that let users monitor two different angles at the same time. It supports 2.5K video resolution, a wide f/1.6 aperture, and smart white lights that turn on when motion is detected at night.

The camera can pan horizontally and tilt up to 95 degrees vertically via the Mi Home app, using dual-band Wi-Fi 6 for smooth control. It also sends alerts for human or vehicle detection and starts recording automatically.

Other features include an IP66 rating for weather resistance, two-way audio up to 10 meters, and real-time streaming through the app.

On the other hand, the Xiaomi C500 is designed for indoor setups. It sports two 4-megapixel lenses: one for ultra-wide with 110-degree viewing angle, and another for zoomed-in tracking via a PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) system.

The camera uses AI to follow movement and shows both wide and close-up views on a split screen.

It also supports pet tracking, crying baby detection, and clear night vision using infrared without any visible red light. The C500 can be mounted upright or upside down with a ceiling bracket, and the image can be rotated in app.

Moreover, both cameras connect via Wi-Fi 6, support two-way voice calls, and work with voice assistants like Google Assistant and Alexa. Setup is done through the Xiaomi Home app.
