YugaTech.com, the domain, has been online and running as a blog since October 2002. The blog, however, was relaunched on April 2005. In the last 2 years alone, this site has been covered as news source, featured in a number of publications and news sites, as well as interviews that includes Inq7.net, Manila Bulletin, Business Mirror, Business World, Manila Standard Today, Sun Star Cebu, Entrepreneur Magazine, The San Francisco Gate, International Herald Tribune and the New York Times. This blog has since branched out to other local niche topics such as travel (www.pinoytravelblog.com), technology (www.pinoytechblog.com), and urban living (www.pinoyurbanblog.com) with over two dozen contributor and guest bloggers. A blog entry about Smart Wifi pulled over 2,500 comments and 183,000 pageviews that it was moved to its own dedicated blog at Smart Wifi Chronicles. A separate photoblog was also launched at Abe Olandres Photography.
The blogger behind YugaTech is Abe Olandres, commonly known in the Philippine Blogosphere as Yuga. He has contributed to local tech magazines Mobile Philippines and the now defunct PC Magazine Philippines and has been featured/interviewed by several local and regional TV shows - ABS-CBN, GMA 7, RPN 9, UNTV and ANC.
Yuga is also an official endorser of Korean-owned, Philippine-based auction site Auction.ph and their blogger-affiliate program AdAuction.
