Looks like the stories are true. I just checked my PLDT DSL speed at home last night and I was averaging around 480Kbps. That means my previous 386Kbps connection now tops at 512Kbps. Here’s the supposed upgrade that was recently made by PLDT.
512Kbps / 256Kbps for plan 1995
768Kbps / 384Kbps for plan 2500
1mbps / 384Kbps for plan 3000
You can call them up at 171 to confirm this. Sweet deal, huh?

all these comments are leaving me with no choice at all.. i was planning to switch to pldtdsl which is my only other option but wtf…wla nbang matinung isp sa pinas?!my stinking globe wireless broadband (plan995/512kbps) is getting worse. nung una., i get a good bargain for my money for having this good connection but somehow for the past few weeks i get a steady sluggish 100+kbps @ speedtest.net unlike b4 i was getting 700to800kbps tops my DL averages at 90kBps, but now…? @ 150 to 180kbps it really sucks!!! not to mention a steady freakin’ loads of timeouts.. im in cabanatuan area N.E.. so, folks @ globe… what the h*** just happened!??
2 1/2 years na ko sa smartbro. the first year ay disappointed ako. but this past months its been good actually im very satisfied since now my download speed is up to 103kBps for torrents. upgraded na ang 384 plan nila to 512. very seldom din na mawalan ng connection its been stable for at least 1 1/2 years. im not saying that its perfect but it works well with me.
agree.. PLDT customer service poor.. or mas lowest pa sa poor.. 24 to 48 hours na response time sa trouble.. own kayo sa akin mga pota kayo… yung huli nyong ginawa sa akin inabot ng three weeks bago naayos.. tapos ngayon after 2months down na naman ako.. gedemit kayo. ok naman kami magbayad pero bakit ganito service nyo.. ngayon think once only.. kasi kapag nagkamali kayo ng kuha ng Internet Provider ot Line Provide.. for sure mangyayari din sa inyo ang nangyari sa akin..
so far today Oct 01 2009, down ang Connection ko… gaya ng dati tutunganga ako pag uwi ko sa bahay kasi wala akong connection eh.. pero bayad kayo.. Nampota kayo.

Hey. I’m planning to get PLDT DSL kaya ako nag search ng mga forum like this. So, di ko na lang ba ituloy? Bayantel DSL is the best kasi plan 1199 lang 1.5MBPS na pag gabi at 768 sa umaga. Yeah guys dati, unreliable/inconsistent pero ngayon sobrang ok na. Isa pa sobrang napakapinakamabilis ang response ng mga CSR nila.Nga lang, ang nagpabago ng isip ko ay pag bumabagyo,tulad nito,,,madali rin mawala connection tel and net.

i really think twice of posting this…Im happy of what PLDT service was giving to me, to us actually…its been a long years when we have our line in pldt, and now more than a year having this DSL….But when that ondoy destroys everything lahat nasira, DSL namin yung landline…all connections here in our Baranggay… and SAD TO SAY, this PLDT is not doing there part…..:(( 3 weeks na kaming walang dialtone and DSL, they even don’t care!!!! so please naman po sana HEAR OUR REPORTS!!!ilang beses na kami nagrereport about this…if your reason is sira ng main ng DSL, why don’t you do something para maayos ito at maging worth it naman ang pagbabayad namin sa inyo….if you truly love your clients….do something…Siguro namn now na wala ng bagyo you can na work for this…

pldt medyo maganda lang ang internet connection pag NGN pero pag hindi perwesyo
din sa mga subcriber nila kasi bulok ang server, kabli at kabinet nila sa hindi

operator, telepono ganun din ang hirap coomuntact sa mga bayantel tel. no. at kung pldt to
pldt ang mag usap ang hina na ng linya nila, malakas lang pag bayantel kausap na linya,
napakamahal maningil ng subcriber fee pero hindi naman ganun kaganda ang kanilang sebisyo
kahit sa billing nila hindi pa na gagamit pero pinapabayaran nila agad sa mga subcriber nila
ADVISE LANG SA LAHAT NA GUSTO PUMASOK SA I-CAFE BUSINESS WAG KAYO MAGPAKABIT SA PLDT

Mahina ang front line sales ng Pldt, dalawang beses akong nag aaply sa kanila diman pinansin at walang action sa dalawang application for DSL. Follow up di masabi kung kailan ikakabit sa inis nag globe ako. Parang tingin nila sila lang ang may broadband service. Buti na lang diako napakabit ang sama pala ng service
nak ng tutsa o, buti nalang 2mingin muna ako, balak ko pa naman mag apply ng dsl sa pldt…. kasi grabe na sa globe, dati rati mabilis ngayon super bagal narin… mga burat kayo, puro pala kayo cnungaling….. punta na lang ako sa mga mall na may libreng wifi… hehehe
Applied PLDT DSL and they told me that it will be inspected soonest. 2 Days later tumawag, wala na daw available slot sa lugar ko Capas, Tarlac and instead they are suggesting DSL Broadband, 2 years lock, Php4k plus and monthly of Php 1.5k plus.
I was wondering, why was I told to wait for inspection if in truth wala na slot. Yun alibis is so low. Pag walang available slot sa area, that should have been known long before and that information should also be furnished to front people.

I Just spoken to a pldt rep for customer service section, Grace Ilagan id no. c582 she sounds she’s making her own explaination about computers she told me that windows task manager and all the anti viruses are all useless, i think this agent didnt know what she’s talkin about. My connection is 1mb and yet the connection that i am receiving was only .01 to .45 mb i hope pldt reads this. you know guys if your just making this a non sense your gonna loose your customers, even having an agent like grace is not a good asset of your company. Im working in a tv station company and i hope you guys from pldt would do something..

I was talking to a client from the UK and he tested his home connection over the phone… 9Mbps daw. Damn! I tested my home Bayan connection and it only showed 740Kbps. Grabe nakaka awa mga telecoms providers sa Pinas.
What i hate with the PLDT… lately im using a commercial connection with 2mbps.. i thought there is a difference between 2mbps of a commercial connection and 2mbps business.. but all i can say is it sucks!! there’s no difference.. the difference is the monthly payment!!! id rather go GLOBE wired broadband with 6mbps,with landline low monthly fee (PhP3,595) than pldt having a monthly fee of PhP5,200 pesos.. that’s a lot of difference… so all i can say to you PLDT… you SUCK! hope GLOBE will let you down soon..

i have been a pdlt (experience) residential dsl subscriber for many years. ussually the service is down during holidays and weekends.last month it was down for over a week. this month it was down since sept 6 up to now sept 17 still no service. very unreliable internet service. im just busy in the moring to get it disconected. im using globe pay per use right now. it has a download speed of 1.66mbps and a upload speed of 328kbps based on bandwidthplace speed test. smart is very slow also here in manila. i have not tried sun. but if your in manila i think the best carriers would be globe and sun cellular. dont go for pldt or smart bulok. im so disgussted with their service. how can they offer immidiate connection for dsl if they cant provide internet service for their old client for almost 2 weeks?
if you dont check and complaint your pldt dsl speed they yussally bring it down to less than half of theirs promised speed. last month when my internet was still working the speed went down to download speed of less than 120 kbps. (when it was suppose to be 1mbps. when i complained it was adjusted of 700+ and occasionally 900+. this month no service. and yet they continue to charge you monthly bill. mandaraya!

Galit………… your right, corruption is the best professional trade in the Philippines, no such thing as fair trading and professionalism, even when you complain about your speed, and they give you it, the following day they take it away from you again, and then the whole cycle begins again, they hope you will get tired and pissed off that you wont bother anymore.
