Nokia probably shipped 30 units of Lumia 920 to the PH

News spread fast a couple of days ago that the much-awaited Nokia Lumia 920 had been released in the Philippines with a suggested retail price of Php26,990. This, after several months of being delayed (as far back as December).

However, a quick survey from all the Nokia Stores that are selling the handset resulted in shortage of stocks so we asked from some sources that revealed a very low supply of the Lumia 920.

Apparently, one of the two biggest importers/distributors of Nokia phones in the Philippines only shipped 15 units. We’re assuming the other distributor might have shipped the same number as well. One store down south (Vis/Min) only received one (1) unit to sell in their concept store. It’s still unsure how many units the other distributor shipped but our guess is the same as the other.

If our estimates are correct, then around a total of 30 units of the Lumia 920 are available in Nokia Stores nationwide (of course, that does not include the parallel imports or gray market units).

The reason for the very limited release could be a supply issue. At least, with this initial shipment, Nokia is able to send out news that they are able to finally release the Lumia 920 after being delayed for about 3 months.

It’s yuga’s choice to write reviews and it’s your choice if you want to believe it or not.

And this article is not a review. Duh? That’s bullshit.

SM North alone has 15 units. The figure given in this article is way off the mark.

Maybe Nokia’s a bit scared with the launch of BB10 this week, and Samsung S4 this april. Kaya minadali

Your article is pure speculation and very far from the truth.

I bought mine from Nokia Store in SM Bacoor. They have 10 units of White and 10 of the Red.

You should know better than writing such a misleading article. What a disappointment.

Hindi ka kase nagbabasa. Sinabi na nga na the number does not include other imports and shipments. So sobra nga sa 30.

The writer clearly stated that the estimate was for Nokia Stores alone.

  12. Avatar for rabby rabby says:

di ko sure kung malaki demand ng 920. I just suspect low demand. Trial lang siguro yung 30 units

  13. Avatar for Epstein Epstein says:

Been waiting for this phone. Whew.

  15. Avatar for Jun Jun says:

Oh well… Opinion ko lang

  16. Avatar for Freeje Freeje says:

Probably that figure was their estimate of the demand for the phone in the country.
