Apple unveils accessibility features across Apple devices

Apple has announced new accessibility features powered by Apple Intelligence. They are coming later this year across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro.

The update adds more advanced tools to VoiceOver, Magnifier, Voice Control and Accessibility Reader.

VoiceOver will offer more detailed image descriptions and allow users to ask questions about what their camera sees. Magnifier will also support spoken requests and AI-generated responses.

Voice Control is gaining natural language support, allowing users to navigate apps using phrases like ‘tap the purple folder’ instead of exact button names.

Apple is also introducing on-device generated subtitles for videos without captions. The new Vision Pro feature that lets compatible power wheelchairs be controlled using eye tracking.

Additional updates include Larger Text support for tvOS, improved hearing aid pairing and support for the Sony Access Controller on Apple devices.
