Easy Management and SetupThe DI-LB604 can be easily configured using its web-based management interface.
The DI-LB604 Link Load-Balancing Router will be available soon at all PC Express branches.
If from what I understand here is right, this means you can hook up two DSL accounts and combine them into one router and get an effective connection rate equivalent to the sum of both broadband connection.
So, I have an existing PLDT myDSL at 1.2Mbps and another Smart Bro account at 386Kbps. If I use the DLink DI-LB604 router, I could have 1.586Mbps connection speed on my network. If one is down, the other is still hooked up. Cool! I want one!

hmmm… mga bro… load balancing router ba… i tried D-Link dual WAN… d tlga gmgana jn ng sabay. prang failover lng.. when 1 line is down automatic na gagana ung isa. i switch to EDIMAX…un ska ko ngamit ng sabay ang 2 smartbro. d cya nag a-add ng bandwidth. prang hahatiin lng nilang 2 ang traffic. pro mrmdaman mo na improve ung browsing at ung u-tube ko halos d nagbu-buffer. edimax nlng kau.. wlang inaayawan na connection. whether wireless man cya o wired lines.. u can use both of them at the same time…

Load Balancing is simply a network traffic manageability. Allowing you to use two ISP/WAN into single LAN/internal network to balance your network port traffic and at the same time acts as a fail-over.
Hindi magiging additive speed nyo if for example meron kang 1Mbps/pldt & 1Mbps/globebroadband.
You will set a rule to manage the network traffic from your ports assignments to which ever ISP it will go. you have to config your router properly.
I use the same scenario on pfSense, and it benefits me a lot on this setup for our office.
Re: load balancing router..
Mga bro/sis,
Hanap ako ng advice..mayron akong existing 3.5 mbps na pldt connection sa internet business ko..im planning na magdag2xg ako additional lines galing parin sa pldt at 3.5 mbps..pwede ba na isang pc serves as 1 server pc for 30 to 35 units pc by using load balancing router?..hindi ba hihina ang speed dahil sa isang pc lang na server?..magkano kaya yang load balancer?..my binibenta ba kau sa davao?..thanks..jerome of Kidapawan City
sir jerome gud afternoon may offer poh ako sayo internet connection..mabilis poh to.. pwede poh ako mag semo sayp if gusto mo.. just contact me @ 09481212004.. tga kabacan poh ako..
It does load balance with the new firmware. Set the port Options of WAN and set Connection health check so that it can detect when the connection is broken. E.G, ping the main gateway of each ISP.
@Cybercon
Ilang workstation ang nasa office nyo? Kasi i will also be using load balancing dito sa office.

If you don’t like D-Link load balancer here comes the Cisco linksys RV042 router with Dual LAN / Load Balancer, 4 port VPN and SPI firewall.

thanks yuga.
Yup I agree with cybercon. Meron kami sa office F5 link controller 3 ISP ang naka load balance. For example lahat ng VoIP traffic para sa isang ISP (Eastern), tapos lahat ng site na may video’s like youtube sa another ISP (PLDT), then the rest of other websites sa 3rd ISP (Globe). For example nag down yung Eastern, manually ililipat yung traffic papuntang Globe or PLDT.

i have more than 50 PC’s under my pfsense dual-WAN router/server. my server is just a low-profile old CPU;
-Pentium 4 2.4ghz
-512mb RAM
-512MB M2/memorycard via USB (serves as my hardrive with pfsense installed)
-3 ethernet LAN card (2×10/100Mbps, 1xGigabit LAN card)
ISPs:
-Globe 3Mbps Taipan package 8k/month (using it for 5yrs now)
-PLDT DSL business plan 3Mbps (using it more than 5yrs now)
