DJI has confirmed that it will hold a global launch event titled “Lead the Scene” on January 29, 2026, at 12 PM GMT.

This announcement appears to have been teased through the release of a brief video that was shared through social media platforms, and through this video, we catch an overt teaser that points to the worldwide release of the DJI RS5 gimbal. The teaser shows visuals that match features already revealed during the RS5’s China launch earlier this month, including a display screen and control buttons linked to DJI’s new tracking module and briefcase handle. This suggests the RS5 is finally heading outside China.
DJI has launched its RS 5 in China, introducing upgrades like a subject tracking feature that does not require a phone app, increased motors with 50% higher peak torque, and one-handed use capabilities. However, global buyers were left waiting, until now.
There’s also a chance DJI could unveil an RS5 Pro, following its usual launch pattern. More details are expected during the January 29 event.
