We managed to buy an HTC DotView case last week while we were in Taiwan for the Computex. It was hard to find this case despite the fact that Taiwan is home of HTC.
When we bought the HTC One M8 a couple of month’s ago, we were already looking for the DotView case. The interactive flip style allows you to access a wide range of features on your phone without opening the case.
It is perhaps one of the most functional and intuitive case we’ve seen being implemented on a smartphone.
The case lets you respond to calls, access the calendar and alarms and view notifications on the phone without opening the case.
Here’s a video clip of how the interactive flip case works with the HTC One M8.
The DotView case sells for about $49.95 in the US and we got it for around NTD$1,390 in Taiwan.
Yuga, I just saw the video and noticed that, when you receive a call, the mobile number (not the caller’s name) is being displayed. Is this true for all calls (even if you have the person calling in your contacts)?
Hi Yugatech,
I read your article about the E8 and was really excited about the phone. I check the Malls and as it appears, HTC has pulled out its stores / distribution here in the Philippines. Is it correct?
I am looking forward on buying the E8 which leads me to think if I need to resort with either literally buying the unit abroad or through the local grey market?
