0:00Hey guys, this is Aar from Yugate and
0:01today we have some exciting news. We are
0:04at the Samsung Galaxy Experience and
0:07we’re checking out the new S26 series.
0:10Well, in this video we’re going to be
0:12checking out the S26 Ultra in
0:15particular. What’s new with it? Well,
0:18stay tuned to find out.
0:26In terms of the design, the Galaxy S26
0:28Ultra still adopts the signature Samsung
0:31design language that we’ve come to love.
0:33But the first thing we notice is the
0:34redesigned camera island. Compared to
0:36the S25 Ultra, which didn’t really have
0:39a camera island, it now has a vertical
0:41camera island that houses three of the
0:43five cameras. It’s an obvious redesign,
0:45and we like how it looks now. But of
0:48course, some of you guys will have a
0:49different opinion. But then again, style
0:52is subjective. So whether you like it or
0:54not, do comment your opinion down below.
0:56Although not as obvious, the S26 Ultra
0:58is also a lot less angular with more
1:00curves at the corners. Despite that, it
1:03is marginally longer and thinner than
1:05its predecessor, the S25 Ultra. We’re
1:08talking mere millimeters here, so unless
1:10you have an S25 Ultra with you, it’s
1:12really hard to tell how thin it’s
1:14become. This being the Galaxy S26 Ultra,
1:16of course, it still comes with the S
1:18Pen, which you can accidentally insert
1:21the wrong way in. Now, unfortunately,
1:22just like the S Pen of the Galaxy S25
1:24Ultra, it still doesn’t have Bluetooth.
1:27Fortunately, it still works well and you
1:28can easily draw or sketch on this phone.
1:30But what we really like is there is now
1:32a notif when you lock the phone and the
1:35S Pen isn’t inserted. So, it notifies
1:37you when the S Pen isn’t there and makes
1:40you check whether you’ve misplaced it or
1:43just kept it in your pocket. That way,
1:45you don’t have to lose the S Pen
1:47anymore. Now, in terms of colors, there
1:49are four colors available to choose
1:50from: violet, sky blue, black, and
1:52white. There are two other online
1:54exclusive colors available: silver
1:56shadow, and pink gold. As for the
1:58display, it’s amazing as expected. It
2:00still features a 6.9 in dynamic AMOLED
2:03panel with QHD Plus resolution. It still
2:05features up to 120 Hz refresh rate,
2:07giving users that super smooth feel.
2:09Based on the specs sheets, the display
2:11appears to be a carryover from before,
2:13but there’s nothing wrong with that.
2:15With that, we still had an amazing
2:16experience watching videos on this
2:18phone, even if it was only YouTube
2:20videos. The audio quality is great, too,
2:23featuring dual stereo speakers with
2:24support for Dolby Atmos. From our short
2:27experience, it was loud and the quality
2:28was decent. However, we’ll explore more
2:30of that in our full review. So, while
2:32the display might be the same, what is
2:34new is the privacy function. It’s
2:36exclusive to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, but
2:39it effectively keeps wary eyes from
2:41seeing what’s on your screen. Think of
2:43it like a privacy glass, but instead of
2:45being permanent, users can choose to
2:46turn it on and off. It works great,
2:47similar to the privacy glass I had on my
2:49phone, but at least this one, users can
2:51choose to turn it off when it’s not
2:52needed. On paper, the cameras of the
2:54Galaxy S26 Ultra appear to be a
2:56carryover from before as well. It
2:57features a 200 megapixel main, 50 megap
3:00ultrawide, 10 megap telephoto with 3x
3:02optical zoom, and another 50 megap
3:04telephoto with five times optical zoom.
3:06For selfies, there’s a 12ap front
3:08camera. With that, the output of the
3:10images appear to be similar as before.
3:12They’re sharp and there’s decent
3:14contrast, too. Whether we use the ultra
3:15wide or zoom, there’s no doubting the
3:17quality of the images. But what we
3:19really liked is the new stabilization
3:20function on the Galaxy S26 series when
3:23shooting video. On the Galaxy S26 Ultra,
3:26it still records video at 8K max, but
3:28there is now a function where you can
3:30lock the horizon. So, even if you’re
3:33running around or shaking the camera,
3:34the video will be stable. Of course,
3:36there are some limitations like if you
3:38move the camera too much to a portrait
3:41mode, it will switch to a portrait
3:43video. So, do keep that in mind. But
3:45just check out the videos we were able
3:46to take with and without the function
3:48turned on [music] and see for yourself.
3:51And as always, the video quality is
3:53amazing. Everything you’d expect from
3:54Samsung’s flagship smartphone. So, while
3:56the design might not have changed that
3:58much, perhaps the biggest change Samsung
4:00made to the Galaxy S26 Ultra is the
4:02chipset. While the base S26 and S26 Plus
4:05now run an Exynos chipset, the S26 Ultra
4:08packs a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for
4:10Galaxy chipset. Unfortunately, we didn’t
4:12get to run our benchmarks, but we were
4:14able to play Genchin Impact on the S26
4:17Ultra since it was already
4:18pre-installed. There’s no doubt it could
4:20run the game on max graphics, and we’re
4:22certain it could handle even more
4:23graphic intensive titles without any
4:25issues. There’s no heating either, even
4:27when we ran Genjin for around 30
4:29minutes. With that, we have very high
4:31hopes for the S26 Ultra when it comes to
4:33the performance. Best of all, it could
4:34handle all the new features that the new
4:36OS offers. And for those interested,
4:39there are two RAM options available: 12
4:40GB and 16 GB. For storage, users can
4:43choose between 256, 512 GB, and 1 TB of
4:47storage. Aside from the new chipset,
4:49what we’re also excited about the Galaxy
4:51S26 Ultra is the UI. It ships with 1 UI
4:548.5 out of the box, and it comes with a
4:56lot of the AI features we’ve come to
4:58love. And of course, we can’t forget
5:00about Google circle to search and Gemini
5:02features. But what we’re excited about 1
5:04UI 8.5 is the return of a new and
5:06improved Bixby. It works similar to
5:09Gemini, but what Bixby can do with the
5:11S26 Ultra and or at least the S26 series
5:14in particular is control the function of
5:16the phone. For example, users can use
5:18Bixby to adjust screen brightness
5:20without even opening the drop- down
5:22menu. The same can be said for adjusting
5:23other phone settings. Instead of having
5:25to fumble through the menu, all users
5:28have to do now is let Bixby do the work
5:30and just tell him what you want. In
5:31terms of battery, the Galaxy S26 Ultra
5:33still packs a 5,000 mAh battery pack as
5:36before. However, charging speeds have
5:38been increased from 45 W on the S25
5:40Ultra. It now features 60W Super Fast
5:43Charging 3.0. Well, at least the charger
5:46that comes with it is 60 W. Samsung also
5:48claims it has super fast wireless
5:50charging, but did not disclose the
5:51wireless charging speeds just yet. It
5:53also features wireless power share if
5:55you want to help a homie out. And again,
5:57just like the benchmarks, be sure to
5:58stay tuned for our full review to see
6:00how long the battery will last using our
6:03usual benchmarks. So, that’s about it
6:06for this video of the Samsung Galaxy S26
6:09Ultra. It’s a lot nicer, it’s a lot more
6:12capable, and definitely something you
6:15guys should check out. As for the price,
6:17it starts at 86,990 pesos for the 256 GB
6:21variant. Now, I wish we could had more
6:23time with this phone, but unfortunately
6:25that’s the only time we have right now.
6:27But be sure to stay tuned for our full
6:29review, which will be out soon once we
6:32get our hands on the S26 Ultra for
6:34better photos, benchmarks, and
6:36everything else. Now this has been from
6:38Yugare and see you guys in the next
