Free Windows 10 upgrade expires tomorrow

Listen to article

If you’re still running an old version of Microsoft Windows (7 and 8) then you might want to consider upgrading your machine to Windows 10 now as the free offer will expire tomorrow.

Windows 10 was released to consumers a year ago on July 29, 2015 (Happy birthday, Windows 10!) as a free upgrade lasting for one year. Starting July 30, 2016, Microsoft will charge users $119.

Another incentive for users to take advantage of the free upgrade is that you will also receive the Anniversary Update for free when it arrives on August 2.

To upgrade your machine to Windows 10, you can visit Microsoft’s webpage here.

Better yet, Microsoft should’ve given me the Windows 10 installer instead.

Else I would need to buy a new HDD to contain the upgraded Windows 10 OS. While my older HDD will still contain my original Windows 7 OS. I’ll just swap in/out my HDD depending on what’ll I use.
