New-player Xodiom offers flagship specs for cheaps

Listen to article

Xodiom is a new brand that is now accepting pre-orders for their flagship device that’s packed with heavy specs, yet comes with an affordable price tag – meet the xodiom.

xodiom

xodiom specs:
5.5-inch QHD display @ 2560 x 1440 resolution, 534ppi
Corning Gorilla Glass 3
2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor
Adreno 420 GPU
3GB RAM
32/64GB internal storage
Expandable up to 128GB via microSD
16MP rear camera with phase detection, OIS, and LED flash

Accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, compass, barometer, gesture, UV, heart rate, Sp02 (sensors)
Tuxedo Black (color)
3200mAh battery

Truly, their naming convention is a bit confusing (so they’re Xodiom and their flagship is called xodiom?). Nevertheless, what’s more interesting than its beefy specs is its price tag. All those high-end specs are priced at $329 (Php14,684 directly converted) for the 32GB and $379 (Php16,916) for the 64GB variant.

They will be ready to ship for free starting the 5th of January next year when you press that Buy button over at their site. In addition, the company doesn’t play hard-to-get as you do not need an invite of any sort just to purchase this affordable flagship. If you check out their purchase page you’ll see a message saying, “To buy the xodiom you DO NOT need an invite, hooray for freedom ;-)”

Update: The company & the phone is a scam.

Yugatech please edit or remove this article. If any filipinos are scammed you might take the blame again (remember ZTE?).

it will detect if you have phase of mind or not
or if you prefer phase instead of war
or maybe it can detect if you smell like a phase, out of water

seems fishy, sana hindi scam, seems like a good phone and maybe they’ll make something smaller in the future kung ma suportahan.

Looks to be a scam.

Check out the supposed “actual phone” on the main page of their website. The capacitive buttons are located OUTSIDE of the screen.

… I have a feeling Yugatech will do a follow-up article about this enumerating the experiences of their victims.

ehhrr, I agree that there is a big chance that this is a scam, but aren’t capacitive buttons supposed to be outside the screen? O.O Did I miss something?

@nokinoks: Android capacitive buttons are supposed to be INSIDE the screen, since these are changed/updated by the OS. Case in point, compare the buttons of KitKat and Lollipop. They’re very much different.

The capacitive buttons you are referring to are the non-andoird capacitive buttons, typically used by Samsung and HTC. These buttons usually just bring up the menu or do some other stuff other than what the 3 main Android buttons (Back|Home|Recent) do.

Competition is always good for everyone. No one is forcing you to buy from those thousands of manufacturers so stop whining already.

I know the benefits of Competition, its like Business 101, Duh… the problem it generates is choosing the right handset for just one OS type (Android), it will be a relentless, daunting task for an already confused buyer. And to set the record straight, I’m not an Apple zombie either :P
