LBC TXT Remit now available in Luzon

كنت في فرع LBC قريب هنا في باكوار عندما لاحظت الملصق الجديد لـ TXT Remit على جدارهم. سألت عن الخدمة وتم إخباري بأنها تم إطلاقها لأول مرة في سيبا في أبريل ولكن تم توفرها هنا في جزيرة لوسون فقط هذا الشهر.

The service is pretty simple. The sender first needs to buy a prepaid card which comes in three denominations: Php1,500, Php1,000, and Php500. Upon purchase, the sender needs to scratch the back of the card to reveal the PIN which the he/she can send via SMS using the syntax LBCTRIPP/ to 2910.

The service will then promptly reply with a tracking number and PIN which the sender can forward to recipients so they can receive confirmation of the remitted amount.

In order to encash the remittance, the recipient must provide a valid ID and fill up an LBC encashment form along with the tracking number and PIN.

This service is faster and more convenient especially for those who are just sending small amounts as it doesn't require the sender to bring an ID and fill up forms. We're yet to try this service ourselves but if you've already done this please share your experience by writing it down the comments field below.
