CoolerMaster uses Nutella as Thermal Paste

Listen to article

You know Nutella? That sweet hazelnut chocolate spread that you like to spread on bread or eat straight out of the jar with a spoon? Yeah. Turns out you can use it as a thermal paste to help keep your CPU cool.

CoolerMaster, a company well-known for its thermal solutions for PCs, celebrated Nutella Day (February 5) by using the world’s most delicious chocolate spread as a substitute for thermal paste. Watch the video below:

As you’ve seen in CoolerMaster’s Nutella Stress test, the chocolate spread was able to keep the CPU at a maximum temperature of 50-degrees Celsius. The company stated though that the demonstration is not a way of recommending Nutella as a replacement for thermal paste, but just “a fun experiment to show how far we’ll go to be the best in thermal technology. We still stand by the fact that thermal paste is far superior in every regard.”

It would probably be super caramelized due to heat making it rock hard.
