Xiaomi has launched the Smart Home Display 8 Gimbal Edition in China, priced at 699 yuan (PHP 7,700) for first-time buyers. It’s the brand’s first smart display with a gimbal-mounted camera, blending home security and AI smarts into one sleek hub.

It features an 8-inch HD screen (1280×800), dual stereo speakers, and a 5MP 3K camera with 360° horizontal rotation and infrared night vision up to 10 meters. The camera also supports AI face recognition, motion alerts, human tracking, and baby cry detection, ideal for both home security and family monitoring.

Running on HyperOS with the new Super XiaoAi AI assistant, it supports smart home controls, voice commands, and multi-turn conversations. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and Xiaomi Mesh 2.0 support.

It also recommends content tailored to age groups, with child-safe learning resources and senior-friendly UIs.

Available starting August 21, this smart display is packed and ready for smart home lovers.
