Listen to article

Samsung smartphones sales were very low until 1st quarter of 2010 and then went passed HTC by the 3rd quarter of the same year and is now almost at the same level as Apple's iPhone. Samsung carries several smartphone platforms though, including Bada, Windows Phone 7 and Android.

well Sony Ericsson pissed off their customers too. Imagine their X10 mini/pro and X8 getting stuck at android 2.1 whereas their specs could handle 2.2

they chose not to upgrade them so as to sell their new phones. This pissed off a lot of their users. Their first reason was that the users would get the best experience at 2.1, yes such a lame excuse

then last march they surprised everyone by saying that the X10 will get a gingerbread upgrade, and that phone only from their 2010 line up. They said they will focus all their resources on the X10 hahahaha.

They ruined themselves, yes they have nice new phones but they screwed up with their marketing strategy. Loyal customers now look at other brands
