TECNO Camon 30, Camon 30 5G, Camon 30 Pro 5G now official

We first saw the new TECNO Camon 30 Series at MWC 2024, and now three models have gone official: the vanilla Camon 30, Camon 30 5G, and the Camon 30 Pro 5G.

All three models share the same design language and similar features. They boast 6.78-inch AMOLED screens, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and 5000mAh batteries paired with 70W wired charging.

There’s also a quirky ‘breathing light’ LED indicator at the rear of each model. While they share many similarities, there are several minute differences in the chipset, cameras, and dimensions to highlight.

Starting with the Camon 30, it packs a MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate chipset and dual rear cameras headlined by a 50-megapixel primary sensor.

As for its 5G variant, the only difference is it packs a 5G-capable chipset, the Dimensity 7020. It comes with a higher storage configuration at 512GB.

As for the top-specced Pro variant, it packs a more powerful Dimensity 8200 Ultimate. It boasts better cameras with a 50MP Sony IMX890 primary shooter, complemented by a 50MP ultrawide and 2MP depth sensors.

Price and availability

TECNO has yet to disclose the pricing and availability details for all its new Camon 30 Series models. The phones are currently on sale in Africa, with a gradual expansion to over 70 markets globally planned. Stay tuned for updates!
