With the recent launch of the all-new Honor 90 and the Realme 107 11 5G series, the mid-range smartphone market just became even more competitive. That’s because the Honor 162 90 and the Realme 11 Pro+ are almost identical in terms of specs and price. Both phones have a 200MP triple rear camera, a very capable chipset, and a price tag of PHP 25,000USD 426INR 36,115EUR 406CNY 3,103.
Given how similarly spec’d and the price point of these two phones, it can be hard to choose which one is suited for you and your lifestyle. To help you decide, we’ll be running through the specs of both phones as well as how they feel to use.

Table of Contents
Let’s start with one of the biggest selling points of both the Honor 90 and the Realme 11 Pro+ – the camera. Both phones feature a triple rear camera highlighted by a 200MP main sensor. Interestingly, the two phones use Samsung’s ISOCELL HP3 sensor which is a large 1/1.4-inch sensor. As a result, you can capture some really great images when using the camera of either phone.
The 200MP main shooter is where the similarities end on both phones. Aside from the main shooter, the Honor 90 comes with a 12MP ultrawide and macro combined and a 2MP depth sensor. Meanwhile, the Realme 11 Pro+ features an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultrawide sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. Aside from taking photos, both phones are also capable of shooting 4K@30FPS video.
As for the front camera, the Honor 90 comes with a 50MP shooter and is also capable of shooting at 4K@30FPS. However, the company did not disclose what specific sensor is used or from which brand. On the Realme 11 Pro+, it’s a 32MP shooter also by Sony. Similar to the Honor 90, the phone can record at 4K@30FPS.
In terms of photo quality, both phones capture great images in almost all lighting conditions. What I did notice is that the photos from Honor 90 look more digitally enhanced and more vivid. As compared to the Realme 11 Pro+, the photos on this phone come out more natural. The same can be said about the video output of both phones.
While both phones may have similar camera features, there is one significant difference between the Honor 90 and the Realme 11 Pro+ – the chipset. The Honor 90 uses a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition chipset with 12GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage. As for the Realme 11 Pro+, it packs a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB of storage. Storage cannot be expanded for either phone since there is no microSD slot. Both of the phones also have 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2.
Both phones run on Android 13 as standard. The Honor 90 uses MagicOS 7.1, while the Realme 11 Pro+ runs on Realme UI 4.0. Both UIs come with their advantages and disadvantages, so I recommend choosing which one suits you best.
From our experience, both phones are very capable of playing the latest games you can think of. Specifically, they can run Genshin Impact without any issue although you do have to adjust the settings to suit your liking. With that, you can expect it to play Mobile Legends, CoD: Mobile, and more.
Along with the camera, one of the best features of both the Honor 90 and Realme 11 Pro+ are the beautiful displays. The two phones come with a large 6.7-inch HDR10+ display with 120Hz refresh rate. Interestingly, the Honor 90 features higher resolution at 2664 x 1200 vs the Realme 11 Pro+ which has a 2412×1080 resolution. The Honor 90 also has a brighter screen rated at 1600 nits vs the Realme’s maximum of 950 nits.
Both phones have great colors out of the box and are quite vivid. However, only the Honor 90 has the option to change the color tone and similar settings. As for the Realme, it does have Video Color Boost to help enhance colors when watching videos on the phone. The Honor 90 also features 3840Hz PWM dimming and eye comfort mode to make it less stressful on your eyes.
If you want to watch videos, the Realme 11 Pro+ does have dual-loud speakers which are tuned by Dolby Atmos. This makes it perfect if you’re watching with friends without access to a Bluetooth speaker. As for the Honor 90, it only has one downward-firing loudspeaker.
In terms of battery, the Honor 90 and Realme 11 Pro+ packs a 5000mAh battery, which is typical of what you would find in the segment. They both last a relatively long time, and you can check out how they performed via PCMark’s Battery test in our reviews. Unfortunately, wireless charging is not available on both phones.
While the two phones do have the same battery packs, the charging speeds do differ. The Realme 11 Pro+ features a 100W fast charging when using the pre-supplied charger. Meanwhile, the Honor 90 charges at a maximum of 66W.
Last but not least is the design and the construction of the phone. We left this last because as the saying goes, beauty is rather subjective. What one person might find nice, may not be applicable to others. In terms of construction though, both phones feature a plastic frame and are sturdy overall.
The Honor 90 has a more classy design for its back panel, especially with this Diamond Silver color. The bottom portion of the phone features a textured finish, making it rather easier to grip. It also reflects light quite nicely, giving it an upscale finish. You also have the usual dual camera housing design as with most phones today.
In comparison, Realme’s design went with a unique design direction for the Realme 11 Pro+. The triple camera is housed in a large circle at the top portion of the screen. There’s also a long zipper-like design with faux stitching that runs down the center of the phone. Instead of the usual plastic back, the Sunrise Beige and Oasis Green colors are finished in a synthetic leather-rubber material. However, the plastic back is available with Vert Oasis color.
Both the Honor 90 and the Realme 11 Pro+ are great phones and priced properly too. They both have great cameras if you want to create content or just capture nice photos and videos. The phones look nice too, each one catering to different aesthetics.
But based on what we see, the Honor 90 appears to be oriented towards potential content creators. It comes with a 50MP front camera along with more vivid and enhanced colors. Meanwhile, the Realme 11 Pro+ seems to be more of an all-rounder smartphone whether it’s for watching videos with friends, gaming, or more.
If you had to choose though, which one would you pick – the Honor 90 or the Realme 11 Pro+? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
