As expected, the Realme 5 Pro offers more advantages compared to the Realme 5, but we can’t count out the latter just yet.
If you want the most screen size, the Realme 5 wins on paper. However, the 0.2-inch difference wouldn’t be noticeable. The Realme 5 Pro is the one to get if you want the best screen possible.
When it comes to storage, both devices offer up to 128GB capacity. However, the Realme 5 Pro has a faster UFS 2.1 storage. Both have dedicated slots of microSD cards. For ports, the Realme 5 Pro wins for having a USB Type-C.
When it comes to cameras, the Realme 5 Pro has a Sony sensor and a higher main camera resolution. But for the rest of the rear cameras, the two share the same resolution. For selfies, the Realme 5 Pro also has the highest resolution. Then again, pixels aren’t everything when it comes to quality.
Powering the Realme 5 Pro is a Snapdragon 712 chipset, up to 8GB RAM, and a 4,035mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 The Realme 5, on the other hand, has a Snapdragon 665 chipset, up to 4GB RAM, and a larger 5,000mAh battery.
Given the specs, the Realme 5 Pro is the right option if you want the best performance possible. But if you’re a casual user and want the biggest battery capacity, the Realme 5 wins. We’ll know more about their battery life once we have both units for review.
For the price, although both devices are yet to arrive in the Philippines, it’s expected that the Realme 5 will be priced lower than the Realme 5 Pro. So if you have a tighter budget, get the Realme 5, but if you extra to spare, there’s the Realme 5 Pro.
