Summary of advantages

VIVO Y95:
* Higher front camera resolution

OPPO A7:
* Better chipset
* Bigger battery
* Slightly lower price

This looks like a quick one as the Y95 and the A7 has plenty of similarities like the display, design, and dual-rear camera configurations, with the exception for the ones mentioned above.

The Y95 offers a higher front camera resolution which should make it more appealing to those who want selfies with good details. We know by now that VIVO phones can produce quality selfies, but OPPO’s offering isn’t that bad as well.

The A7, on the other hand, offers slightly more than the Y95, one of which is the Snapdragon 450 chipset which sits higher than the Snapdragon 439 in Qualcomm’s hierarchy. The SD450 also has an Adreno 506 GPU and X9 LTE modem which is better than the SD439’s Adreno 505 and X6 LTE. What’s interesting though is that the SD450 is manufactured using the 14nm process while the SD439 is via 12nm. We’ll know more about their performance once we’ve reviewed both devices.

For the battery, the A7 has the upper hand for having a larger battery capacity, although the Y95 isn’t bad as well. We can only confirm which one has the longer battery life once we’re done with our tests/

The VIVO Y95 is priced at PHP 13,999, while the OPPO A7 is at PHP 13,990. Which phone are you going to get?

    What phone shall i get between the two? Neither. Both are overpriced. The mia2, asus max pro m1 and honor 8x, just to name a few, are out there with way better specs and lower prices.
