LG unveils new XBoom speakers with will.i.am collaboration

Listen to article

LG is kicking off CES 2026 early with a fresh lineup of XBoom speakers, all co-developed with artist and tech collaborator will.i.am, who’s working as the project’s “experimental architect.” While each speaker has a unique design, they share one big focus: AI-enhanced audio. The speakers use an algorithm that analyzes music and room acoustics to automatically adjust EQ settings. Some models even use AI to sync ambient lighting with whatever track is playing.

Headlining the lineup is the XBoom Stage 501, built for parties and karaoke. It packs 220W output, dual woofers, a vocal remover, pitch control, and up to 25 hours of battery life. Next is the XBoom Blast, a rugged boombox with a 99Wh battery rated for 35 hours playback. There’s also The Rock, a palm-sized outdoor speaker tested against seven military durability standards.

Pricing is still under wraps, but LG confirms the lineup will launch in 2026, with demos set for CES.
