Disponible (finalmente) a partir del 29 de septiembre de 2017 como título de Xbox Play Anywhere, “Cuphead” es un clásico juego de acción de desplazamiento lateral y disparos con fuerte énfasis en batallas contra jefes. Inspirado en los dibujos animados de la década de 1930, sus visuales y audio fueron creados meticulosamente utilizando las mismas técnicas de esa época: animación tradicional en celuloide dibujada a mano, fondos acuarelados y grabaciones originales de jazz.
