Sentator Jinggoy Ejercito Estrada sugiere a los proveedores de servicios de Internet (ISP) y las empresas de telecomunicaciones que procesen reembolsos automáticos si experimentan interrupciones de servicio.
"Unang salitang refund ay kinakailangan kung ang mga pagkawalan ng serbisyo ay magiging 24 oras sa isang buwan. Serbisyo ang binabayaran natin. Kapag hindi ka nakabayad ng iyong bill sa itinakda nilang due date ng pagbabayad, mabilis pa sa alas kwatro ang pagputol nila ng linya. Kung hindi rin naman nila matutumbasan ang serbisyong binabayaran natin, dapat ikaltas ito sa ating mga bayarin," declaró Estrada.
El Proyecto de Ley del Senado No. 2074, o la Ley Propuesta de Reembolso por Interrupciones y Intercepciones de Servicios de Internet y Telecomunicaciones, fue presentado por o Estrada el 27 de abril. El objetivo de este proyecto de ley es exigir que las empresas de telecomunicaciones públicas (PTE) y las empresas de servicios de Internet (ISP) creen un sistema que permita a ellas reembolsar o modificar inmediatamente las facturas de sus usuarios prepago y prepago siempre que haya interrupciones de servicio.
Los clientes que paguen con antelación por un servicio también serán elegibles para el crédito de reembolso.
"This measure intends to implement fair charging of services of telcos and ISPs to the consumers. It is important that they receive the service that is worth every cent that they pay, and they will not be charged for the service that they were not able to avail of," the senator added.
